Adam wasn't able to come with me, but Lizzy and I took the train with a friend and her two kids from Portland to Shelby, MT. It was a long 18 hour ride, overnight. The nice thing about the train is that the kids can get up and walk around and they're not strapped in to a carseat the whole trip. The bad thing is it takes so long and Lizzy got sick. I think she got some motion sickness and a lot of trouble with naseau and throwing up. It was not very pleasant. But as soon as we were at my parents house in Raymond, Alberta, Lizzy felt a whole lot better and didn't throw up until we were on the train for our return journey (even though I gave her Gravol this time). Happily she is doing well now and I'm pretty sure it was just from the train.
Lizzy had a lot of fun playing with her cousins (my sister's two girls) and they got along really well. Hereis Claire and Lizzy dressed in their identical princess dresses and crowns having a snack.
This is later while having a tea party together. Poor little Brynn would have joined them, but she was really sick all week and just held on to her Mom.
This is my brother Eldon and his new wife Elizabeth cutting the cake at their reception.

I'm sorry that Lizzy got sick--no fun! Good thing it hasn't lasted. I'm glad that you were able to go and be with family, especially for such an important event! Too bad school go in the way for Adam--darn that school! Someday it will all be over, right?
