The Half-Blood Prince

Hooray! Adam and I got to go on a date last night. We went to see the new Harry Potter movie and took Gabe the babe with us. He did really well and slept through the whole thing.

I was really excited to see The Half-Blood Prince as it is my favourite book of the series. I think it was well done and I really enjoyed the movie.Adam thought it wasn't as good as The Order of the Phoenix and that this one was more of a "stepping stone" movie.

Of course there's only so much one can include in 2 1/2 hours and things were missed that I wanted to see. There was also one scene that was totally invented for the movie that surprised me. I think the director or writer wanted a bit more action in the middle of the story. Also one of the final and major scenes was changed and I was looking forward to a major battle, but it ended up as just the Death Eaters running away. Oh well. I guess I'll just have to write my own screen adaptations in the future!

Overall, Half-Blood Prince is a great movie and very entertaining. I had a lot of fun and wasn't disappointed.

I am excited to see it! I wish you lived here so we could go see it together! I don't think Richard would want to take me to it...we'll see though! This book was one of my least favorite books, but I think that was just because of the shocking ending. So maybe now that I know the rest of the story I will like the movie! We miss you! Oh and that was such a sweet message from Lizzy. So cute! Tell her we say hi back.

I thought the same thing about the movie as Adam did, I don't know the whole story cause I didn't read it butI was expecting something big at the end for a battle but i agree that it's a good stepping stone, I hope that they have a really good one next time to make the series that much better.
