Lizzy's Birthday

On November 21st, Lizzy turned 4! I can't believe she is that old already. We had a few friends over to eat cake and ice cream with us, but otherwise it was a quiet day.

Here is Lizzy blowing out her candles.

Lizzy really wanted an Ariel cake for her birthday, so I made her this. The night before I baked the cake and then put it in the fridge overnight. A cold cake is easier to frost - less crumbs. I found a picture of Ariel on the internet and drew the outline with black frosting on her cake. Then I filled in the spaces with the correct coloured frosting. Kind of like paint by number :)

Here is how it turned out.

Lizzy showing off her presents from Mommy and Daddy: a train set and a Little Mermaid doll (kind of like a polly pocket). She loves to change Ariel's tail into legs and put a dress on her.

Gabe. He's now 6 months old, and a hefty 19 lbs. What a big boy! He's sitting up by himself now and loves it.
