Lightning, Movies and Books... Oh My!

The weather this week has been kind of blah, but there was a cool lightning storm last Monday. Adam and I took Lizzy to go see "Horton Hears a Who" at McMennamins Grand Lodge where we get free movies! She absolutely loved it and has been asking for the "elephant movie" all week. When we came out of the building, there was a crowd gathered on the steps watching the lightning. We decided to stop and watch too. It was pretty neat and we saw one bolt come so low, we thought it hit the ground. The sky was threatening rain, so we decided to go home before we got caught in it. But it still wasn't raining at home so we kept watching for a while longer until Lizzy decided that she was scared of the thunder and wanted to go inside.

We saw another movie this week too. Adam and I went on a date to see Prince Caspian. It was pretty good, but there were some really corny parts obviously geared towards the younger audience, but that was expected.

I also went to a bookclub this week where we discussed Northanger Abbey, by Jane Austen. I am in two different book clubs, and I read this one a while ago for my other one, so it was still fresh in my mind. Next month we are reading Emma (it's an Austen bookclub), but to attract more people, I think we will watch the movie at the meeting as well as discussing it. I like book clubs. :)

Sorry no pictures this week, but there wasn't too much going on for pictures. Too bad we didn't get some of the lightning storm, that would have been super cool.
